Antique Violinmaking Tools

For a while we have been collecting old tools, both for the sake of admiration and appreciation, and for the sake of practical usage. Many old woodworking tools are still useful today, despite being over a hundred years old or more. Some just need a little restoration, such as removing rust or sharpening edges.

This section is primarily for other violinmakers or collectors, and is meant to help fundraise to keep our shop in business as long as we can. We have a limited supply of old tools, and it is unlikely that we will be able to replace them. Many of the tools have come from the estates of late violinmakers, and a lot of time has gone into restoring some of these. Tools for sale will be updated as we find the time to list them!
